Yesterday we reached a record high….69 degrees.  It was such a beautiful day that Deborah (from the Village) and I went downtown for a photo walk.  I just love getting together with fellow photo enthusiests who share the same interests as I do.  We have only met a few times in person, but we are like old friends every time we get together.  We even managed to stop for a piece of chocolate from the local candy store (nothing like photography and chocolate)!  If you ever get some time, you should check out her work…she has a great eye and her creativity is beyond incredible!  You can see her Village Gallery HERE.

Now for my themed photo for the day…Square…loved all of these square air conditioning units which stuck out from the side of the building…I am sure if you look hard enough you will see tons of squares/rectangles here.

And I had to share just one more…in the Thrift Store downtown they glued items to a wall and painted it all in blue…Cool modern art result, huh??

  2. Deborah Says:

Now your making me blush….All the ideas come from hanging with you….Love our walks, we need more.

I’ll take that kind of weather! I like the way the older brick contrasts with the sleek modern glass in the background.

  4. Lisa Says:

Very nice red brick work! Lucky you that the weather is so nice, I can’t wait to get out on a proper photo outing, too cold at the moment.
I like the art work in the thrift store, but am thinking how it will catch the dust in time (sorry to be a killjoy).

    Hi Tammy,
Air Conditioners can be beautiful. That thrift store idea is awesome. Have a great day!

Nope….. wait a second, I need another look……………still not seeing them. Where are the squares Tammy? 😉

The colour of the bricks against that blue of the glass building behind is great…and so sharp too…stunning

Gotta love that ‘wallpaper’….lots of squares there too

I love the angle of your square theme, and that you went out photowalking with another villager, plus the creativity of the thrift shot BUT if you are going to buy CHOCOLATE with one village member, you should buy enough for all, AND SEND IT to me. Lucky Tammy and Deborah!

  9. Louise Says:

I love both of these. The building reminds me of some of the blocks in a game I used to play. And the thriftstore thing is a brilliant idea. really clever.

  10. Iris (Rose) Says:

Love that top shot with the buildings, nice perspective, lots of detail and a bonus with the contrast between the older and newer buildings

  11. thello Says:

These are very well done for the theme!

  12. PC PHOTO Says:

Outstanding process and composition with the building. Seeing the wall art took me back to the time of click clack of the keyboard 🙂

  13. lisa Says:

    Wonderful images for “square!”
I especially like the computer art. Really fantastic!

  14. Steven Says:

Any higher temperatures and those air conditioners will be in use. Nice use of your theme.

  15. Kathryn Says:

I really like the building with all those airconditioners. Great composition for your theme!

  16. Deena Says:

Lots and lots of rectangles and squares in the top photo. I like the perspective.

So that’s where old computers go when no longer needed!

  17. Ellen Says:

I love the contrast of brick and glass too and that is a great way to reuse things that are tough to recycle. Fun that you got to go photowalking.
