This mourning dove seems to be pleading with me…he doesn’t like a chilled bath…I think he would prefer a hot tub!
Wow, so close and sharp. He most certainly looks like he would prefer a hot tub 🙂
Poor thing, you need to get one of those birdbath heaters, next best thing to a hot tub.
OMG I love fat birdies!!! This is an awesome capture Tammy!
Love the way he is hunching his neck to keep warm….great shot
He is probably saying that In order for him to take part in the polar plunge you will need to break the ice first.
If the Romans could have Underfloor heating two thousand years ago, It says little for the technology of Omaha that a bird bath can’t be centrally heated, If you go ahead with the project make it BIGGER cause even the Turkey Buzzards will come for that! LoL
This is just the sweetest picture…love all the detail in the feathers and that little eye looking right at you…..does look like he’s trying to get his message across!
….love the brown/white background as well!
It also looks like it was not a bad season, given that he could use a bit of time on the treadmill before hitting the hot tub. Love his baleful eye and the crisp derail on the feathers.
I agree with Bobbie….maybe a short flapout would get him in condition!
Wonderful composition and details.
He’s peeved because he left his ice-skates at home and just didn’t have the energy to get airborne again.
You’ve really managed to catch the eye sharp and nice. Would have liked more of a catch light though. Pin sharp and focussed though.
Very nice detail.
Love love it 🙂 He is a big guy ! 🙂
It seems expectant, this is wonderful. Feathers are amazing things and surely are doing the job here.
Fantastic shot, this will be one of my favourites for this year.
Can’t blame him for that!
He is adorable Tammy.
Great close-up. Very sharp and revealing details.
You mean you DON”T warm your bird-bath water?? poor little thing looks like he should have his skates on instead of anticipating a bath. Lovely detail in this and well focused
