Just got back from our fishing trip to Yankton, South Dakota.  It was gorgeous the first day we were there, but the last few days were extremely windy, rainy, and just down right cold!  I did make a good friend though.  I fell in love with this guy.  I know he belonged to one of the fishermen….but he just roamed freely.  He actually came up to me and Scott and put his paw up for us to take a sticker out of his foot.  Scott, at first, was hesitant, but then the dog kept hitting Scott’s  leg w/ his paw.  Finally Scott got it out and the dog was glad.    About 5 minutes later he was hitting Scott’s leg again…poor guy had another sticker!  He was a very smart and lovable dog!  Does anyone know what kind of dog this is?

  1. Such loveable dog.! Looks as a terrier. Depending on the size it can be different ones. We have large ones like that called Airedaleterrier and a bit smaller ones called Lakelandterrier. But . I don’t know if it’s the same over there

And you didn’t take the hint and feed him, LOL It took him a whole five minutes to find another Burr/Sticker, some Humans can be Soooooo Thick. Love the shot but more the story.

Beautiful shot and cute story, he looks like an Airedale Terrier who needs a bit of a clipping though you couldn’t swear by me…

He is a handsome fellow and smart. Maybe he thought he would get a treat when the burr was removed 🙂

  5. He’s a little bit of a mutt, but he is adorable. That is a great story.

    Love his character!

Looks like there’s Airedale in him. They can be a bit testy–sounds like this one isn’t.
