I just got back from a quick but very fun trip to Wabasha, MN.  Our blogger friend Christina (from Sweden) was in the states for the first time and I was fortunate enough to get to meet up with her.  She had never seen a bald eagle close up so we went to the National Eagle Center.  There they rescue injured eagles and also study eagle habits.  Wabasha, MN is along the Mississippi River and is the home to hundreds of eagles and also a big nesting site as well.  It was fascinating to see the eagles so close and learn more about them.  We even saw one eat a rabbit (bones and all).  I will share a few of the pics in the next few days…

That Christina gets around! I bet that with you two ladies in town the City of Wabasha MN never knew what hit it, you must have had a ball – Can’t wait for the look at the birdie shots.

That is a very striking eagle image in bricks…would’ve loved to have seen the artist at work. I’ll have to put this place on my list for a weekend visit as it is not so distant.
